Setup was an utter doddle - easy peasy - it all recognised the other components and worked like a dream, until. And with a mac (my first ever), it wouldn't have all those lovely windows / PC issues I had to put up with for years. The reason I bought this lot was because it is all designed to work seamlessly with each other. I've recently bought brand new quad core beast, with loads of memory, twin 20" cinema screens, apogee duet, Logic Pro Studio 8, Novation keyboard with automap. Obviously if you're not using Core Audio the last part won't help. Then, in Logic in the Audio preferences UNTICK I/O Safety Buffer. Make sure for your Audio Input device/s the format is the same as you're using in Logic - ie if you're recording or using 2ch-16 bit audio make sure that's what you select here. Run Audio MIDI Setup.app which is in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder. Tried a few things and what seems to have worked is this: Any ideas APPLE? (if they even read these posts.) Very weird though that it's only started after the RAM increase for me. I agree with many posters - it's not a RAM or hard disk size issue - I don't have a high spec laptop and haven't had problems till now. In fact, I've never had the problem before. I recently upgraded my MacBook 2.16ghz intel (OS 10.4.11) to 2gb of paired Crucial RAM, following which I started getting the overload error in a straightforward Logic 8.0.1 project that never errored once before. The audio engine was not able to process all required data in time (-10011)" I've been reading lots of posts about the irritating audio overload problem:
